This is a simple mod that just replaces the guitar audio with an acoustic version of "Eugene's Trick Bag" from the movie "Crossroads." The solo that Ralph Macchio uses to beat Steve Vai.

INSTALL: Extract the folder. Then, drag "ambient_musician_guitar.oac" into x64\audio\sfx\STREAMS.rpf

Nice idea, but the NPC's play an acoustic guitar, so it doesn't work....at all. Next time pick an acoustic set piece.
Good!
@eshenk No offence, but this is probably the 8th or 9th time I've seen you rate unfairly on a modder's work. I do not understand why you have to rate badly everything you find not to be "realistic". Example: The acoustic guitar sound mod (this), just about every single non-LAPD police vehicle texture... Same applies to building signs, medics, firefighters, etc etc etc.
I doubt you'd like it if you were rated so badly. Especially when the first rating you receive has to be a 1.5/5.
Given the fact this mod is not perfect for what the reasons eshenk has given, but at least works perfectly, is not misleading, has good instructions, and does what the description says: To me it's a top notch job. Could it be improved? Obviously. Again, what eshenk said. For that, I rate your mod a 7/10, but since eshenk rated you so badly, I've decided to rate higher to give a more respectable overall rating.
Let us finally remember that NOBODY makes us pay for these mods. Therefore, nothing to be sneezed at.
@Hyper Droid I don't frankly know why what I do even matters to you. It is my right to rate any mod such as I see fit. The street performers are not wielding an electric guitar plugged into an amp. So how would you get an electric guitar sound from an acoustic guitar?!? Dumb. You worry about yourself, and not the actions and decisions of others unless it somehow impacts you in your life to the negative son.
@eshenk I'll worry about it when I find someone to be getting things wrong. Have you even tried the modification out? Did you even bother to open the video he has where he has Michael playing the ACOUSTIC version of that famous song that is meant to be played on an electric guitar? Obviously not. All in all, your reason as to why you gave a 1.5/10 is invalid.
As for impacting me, it does. For the following reasons:
1. It makes modders feel "why an earth am I doing this for others, when I'm not being paid and certainly not being appreciated". Therefore, they end up not making future mods. This indirectly affects me (aswell as others.... and even yourself) doesn't it?
2. Anybody who judges badly is supposed to be told. For example: If you saw a neighbor's child smoking at age 10, would you maintain the "you worry about yourself, and not the actions and decisions of others unless it somehow impacts you to the negative" idea? Any good citizen would go straight to his mother and tell her so that the future of both the mother and the kid himself will be reassured.
So, what I want to do (being the good citizen that I am) is maintain 5mods, our community, in tip top shape. To help myself and my friends from the website. Again, somebody needs to be the one to make it clear that you rate unfairly. I hope you don't take me as someone who just wishes to "annoy you", but as someone who wants to let you know you're being unfair. I hope you actually take what I said on-board. Despite the fact you judge unfairly and out of context, I do not want (at all) to get on the wrong foot with you as you're a good modder yourself, and I quite enjoy what you've came up with. I even follow you so I can know when you release new stuff.
Thanks again,
Hyper.
@Hyper Droid Your views do not decide for me, the reasoning for why I vote the way I do. I vote solely by how believable the modification is in terms of application. If this had been a Flamenco piece or a soundtrack from a classical guitarist for example, than that one and a half stars I gave him/her, would have been a four or five. You could go in any of the countless mods I have made and rate as low as you can go, with no reason given, if that is how you feel. You, nor I, have any control over the motives behind why someone values or does not value a piece of work. The End.
@TehOnlyNoob I never rate anything under five stars. I will not rate this mod just because of it's purpose. This is one of the best guitar solo's I ever heard in my life and I love to hear Vai, Satriani, Morse and about hundred other guitar players sometimes, but this can't replace acoustic guitar loop sound. It would be inappropriate.
@eshenk
@kizacudo It may be misleading because I chose to provide the original source as well as the source of what clip I used, but I can ensure you that this is an acoustic version.
@TehOnlyNoob Yes I noticed that later. Tee first clip was confusing. But I still think that you must use short loop for this and not so recognizable theme. If you are making maps with musicians, you can easily be bored with any recognizable theme.
