Short description
This is a skin for the vanilla SHERIFF2 vehicle to make it match with the livery used by Queensland Road Policing team on their Kia Stingers. I figured that since the county cops seem to be on the interstate more, this made a better fit. After adding the Kia, I wanted an SUV to match. So, until I get around to reskinning a Toyota Landcruiser, this was an easy transition. The skin is a reworking of tobizzle's smooth Kia Stinger skin. All components are thanks to tobizzle. I simply repositioned and adjusted them for layout purposes.
Features and bugs
Just a skin, no features
Known Bug: If you only use the black skin (which matches the Kia Stinger, everything is fine. However, if you select the red or blue there are some noticeable (dis)colour issues that aren't part of the skin (most easily seen on the rear panels [sides and rear]), but something odd the game is doing. I have included blank images to replace all the logos, but it seems they still get added if the images are there or not. Not sure how to correct that, so please leave me a note if you know what I'm missing, and I'll happily update the skins or the description if it's a .meta file adjustment.
Installation instructions
*Download & extract Thero's Trains, Trucks, Emergency & Service Vehicle Templates mod according to his instructions. This particular vehicle mod contains a number of vanilla models templated for easy skinning. For this skin, the Sheriff2 is the only one required.
*Open the sheriff2.ytd file in OpenIV (Stock Vehicle Template Pack 2.5\Stock Vehicle Template Pack\Emergency Vehicles\Sheriff 2 SUV Template)
*Add the included PNGs. For the livery itself, you can either put only the black or all three if you choose. I've not noticed a difference with the other blank images, but they are included to ensure none of the Numbers or other emblems appear.
*Copy the Sheriff2 files into the \mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\patchday22ng\dlc.rpf\x64\levels\gta5\vehicles.rpf file. Alternately you could replace the one in x64e, but I have had great luck putting all my cars in patch22. Patch23 is out, but doesn't seem reliable.
