Hello, I tested this modification for the first time on Enhanced.
The wheel turning I requested is remembered correctly and works great. This is my favorite modification.
Could you please add three more things to the .ini settings?
1. I'd like a setting like "Unlock all vehicles automatically after loading the game."
This way, when I load the game and approach a saved vehicle, I can immediately enter it without manually unlocking it, which will give the impression that the vehicle is immediately ready for operation and driving.
2. Can you prevent the optional text message about the [L] key or any popup sound near the vehicle from displaying?
I'd like it to look realistic, as if I were walking close to the vehicle and it wasn't visible that it had been previously saved via script. Hiding the information about it would help with this.
3. Currently, we can save a vehicle using the [L] key. However, if I load the game, unlock it, drive a bit further, get out, and then don't save it again, I permanently lose the vehicle upon exiting the game.
Would it be possible to add another optional key, in addition to the [L] key, that would forcefully save the vehicle forever? This way, if we load the game, unlock it, and then drive somewhere without saving again, after exiting the game and reloading, we'd still have the vehicle where we saved it with a different key, e.g., [O], forced. This way, the .json file with it would never be accidentally deleted or disappear.
In the information saved for a given vehicle in the .json, there could be a setting for whether the vehicle is saved:
normally [L] or forced, e.g., [O]
and whether it should be unlocked automatically when the game is loaded or not.
This would significantly increase the realism and immersion of the game.

Been using this ever since I discovered it! But it would be nice to have the option to automatically lock/unlock the car when you enter/exit

Hey @RebelDragon1976 been using the mod for a while and have been loving it, it would be better if you added 2 .wav files one for locking and other for unlocking for better customization!

Is it possible to change the key to combined keys like alt+k? How should I changed it in .ini file?

@Argnik nvm i found it -> https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/directstoragefix

@RebelDragon1976 Hey man, you need to add a way for the cars to be deleted at a certain distance. This way, they remain permanently in the world, which makes the game very heavy. If you make an update like that, it will make the script much more optimized.

A fun and useful mod. The hint menu ruins the immersion and is even a bit annoying; it's an unnecessary addition. After the tutorial, there's no longer a need for the prompt to press Y to get in.

Not working as of current game version. When you save a car it will crash the game after loading your last save.

Game screen goes blank after saving a vehicle and restarting the game when you press unlock vehicle

Hi everyone! I’ve fixed the issue that was causing some of your cars to disappear with this mod!
The main problem is that the Persistence3 mod saves each car to a separate file, and the file name is based on the text on your license plate. If all your cars have the same text, like “text,” the mod keeps overwriting the same file. As a result, only the very last car you parked stays in memory, and the game just deletes all the others as soon as you walk away.So before you press L to save a car, be sure to open any trainer and change the number to something unique. For example, set one car to TEXT1, another to TEXT2, a third to MYCAR1, and so on. Then a separate file will be created for each car in the mod folder, and they’ll stop disappearing.
Also, be sure to open the Persistence3.ini config file and set AllowCustomVehicles to true in the [CustomVehicles] section; otherwise, the mod might simply ignore your add-ons. In the same file, under the VehicleList line, list the names of your car models separated by commas (the ones you enter when spawning) so the mod knows it can work with them.
