Added my own HD textures to Joe Gillian's Captain America Shield:

Update 3:
- ALL shields fit Joe Gillian's shield mesh apart from the original
- Resized damage texture to fit mesh, also lightened shield so not as dark in game
Update 2:
- Resized shield texture v1 to fit Joe Gillian's shield, now it is an exact match
- Increased damaged effects on texture
- Version 2 shields do not fit the shield mesh correctly but still looks good in game - if you zoom in close in game you will see what i mean.
Update 1:
- Resized v1 shield texture to fit the shield mesh better, I also kept the original shield in case you preferred having a bigger star icon.
- Added a new shield with damage textures
- Added new shield without damage textures
Installation: (Assuming you are using Captain America Script)
1)Download this texture file, select which file you would like to use and
drag 'w_camo_1.dds' to desktop
2) In OpenIV, go to
mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\capshield\dlc.rpf\x64\models\cdimages\weapons.rpf\
3) Open 'w_me_capshield.ytd' in OpenIV texture editor
4) Drag 'w_camo_1.dds' from desktop INTO texture editor and overwrite.
5) Save and close
NOTE: THIS IS JUST THE TEXTURE FILE

@JDHauser I must be missing something. I keep doing what the README says. I have replaced the file. It is very clear that it has your design. But still, when I load up the game, there is no difference to the shield at all. It is still the one with the straps. I am at a loss. I right-click on the file spesified, go to edit, I edit, save. Then nothing is changed.
@GAGER Hmm, should work either way but might be because the shield with the straps is slightly different.

@JDHauser There, I got your awesome texture up and running. So I can confirm that this does not work with the strap shield. It just did nothing, which is kind of weird. Since now that shield looks just like it did without the correct files. But at any rate, when I did the same with the correct shield, it changed just like it was supposed to :)

Looks pretty nice in the video, but I think it will be better to also edit the spec map or normal map according to your texture. Also using the spec map to create the reflection effect will be a better choice than painting the reflection on the bump map. Anyway, the texture of the bump map is really detailed and high definition, nice job!!

All shields fit to Joe Gillian's mesh and spec map - I will record a updated video later today!
