Logging companies have already eliminated most of the forests around Los Santos, so all the more important to protect the few patches of trees that remain on the slopes of Mt. Chiliad and northern valleys of the Vinewood Hills. Forest rangers can now keep a sharp lookout from above to immediately call in any trace of forest fire smoke that they can make out through the smog on the horizon.
This map mod adds three fire towers across the map - one high on the flanks of Mt. Chiliad, one perched above Raton Canyon, and another above Galileo Observatory in the Vinewood Hills. The tower model is adapted from the Cayo Perico watch towers, and has been equipped with glass windows and a well-equipped interior for round-the-clock patrols. With static map collisions, proper long-distance LODs and distant lights, cleaned up vegetation, and updated ambient ped scenarios, these towers won't affect performance and fit right into the environment as if they were always a part of the game.
LML installation option is recommended. DLC pack is provided for those who insist. FiveM package also available, thanks to @medic4523 for configuring and testing the FiveM package.

Thanks!
good stuff bro
Great stuff! Love the game Firewatch, now I get my own towers!
Nice look out tower but how did you get the top roof shaped like that?, i thought no triangles were possible.
Thanks for the update
@PNWParksFan how is it going man, really digging this dlc, i was able to spawn your firetower but it's invisible and I can't walk up stairs. Would love to add it to another destination for my playthrough of simple zombies. I used enhanced trainer to spawn it in and I'm sure it was never gonna be that simple. I used the dlc version installed with openiv. Thanks alot
@CMAC86 you can't just put it in a new location. The model does not have embedded collisions. You can use a tool like Smallo's YBN Mover to relocate it though.
@PNWParksFan Possible bug report... Installing this caused random objects in the game to appear and disappear. Trash cans and mail boxes would appear then disappear when getting closer while driving around the city. Not sure why. I have WoV and GTA Remastered 2.0 installed, so maybe there's some sort of joint issue or incompatibility causing it? Not exactly sure, but figured I'd report just in case.
I think this is a cool mod, and would be amazing if there were actual missions attached to it. Like maybe you get a quest where you have to work the night shift and some crazy things happen at night. Have a UFO encounter. Have a group of teens getting attacked by a mountain lion. Actually see fires and have to go towards them to see what is going on. Add a bigfoot encounter. Add a working fire extinguisher and some binoculars into the tower. Have a radio that communicates with you and gives you missions and tips, and looks out for you from the other tower like in Firewatch. Maybe some horror scenarios. Put a working tv and a radio in there too. Could be an immersive amazing experience. If you go this route and need some professional voice actors, I can help out with that.
@PNWParksFan Never mind about that bug report, it was caused by GTA V Reloaded 2.0. My apologies.
@Brandoman glad to hear you figured out the issue. Interesting ideas for scenarios to use in conjunction with the mod. I don't have the time to develop additional story content to go with it, but if you or anyone else wants to write some scripts or add additional enhancements to the map feel free to do so!
LOVE THIS THANK YOU
The scenarios never appeared. That this is not compatible with Wov or what?
@PNWParksFan Is there a possibility of these towers conflicting with the Forests of San Andreas mod > https://www.gta5-mods.com/maps/forests-of-san-andreas-revised ? The reason I ask is because I got that mod installed and that mod adds tons of trees around those areas where the towers are located. I don't know if some of those trees will intertwine with the towers if I install this dlc. What's your opinion on that?
@JAM102970 it will be OK to install both. The Raton Canyon tower will be in the trees so you won't be able to see out of it very well, but it won't conflict. The higher up tower on Mt Chiliad is above the trees.
@PNWParksFan Confirmed, there is no conflict between this mod and the Forest of San Andreas mod however I'm having a tough time finding these towers. I flew around for more than half an hour in a helicopter, looking for these towers and I only managed to find one, the Galileo Observatory tower in the Vinewood Hills but, couldn't find the other two. It would be nice if you would post a map showing the general area where these towers are located though.
I have a mod that shows coordinates so I'm gonna use that to find the other two, once I find 'em all I'll upload a demo video here for everyone, in the meantime, if you could post a map showing where they are that would be great. I want to put custom map blips on all three of 'em so I'll know where they are in the future.
@JAM102970 I believe the readme lists the coordinates for each tower
For some reason, with this mod installed there is an extra gate at micheal's house for me?
These are fantastic! I was wondering though, why did you use a table for the sleeping bag instead of a biker cot?
hey dude can you make this tower as props please
amazing mod man, I love it
