So, i can put custom ymaps of any kind there as long it's mpmap ones?

@William Halverd Custom .ymap's should work in both spmap and mpmap, providing you put it the right .rpf - 'metadata.rpf' for SP Map and 'metadata_mp" for MP Map.

I thought it supported any map, but it turns out it's only for MP YMAP

@Mclpone How did you get to that conclusion? It supports .ymap's made for both the SP map and the MP map.

@Mclpone Unless you convert it from the Map Editor .xml to a .ymap, then of course it won't work.

In fact, you don’t need to classify sp and mp. Yamp can run normally no matter which rpf it is placed in.

@JoyLucien But both similar ymaps stored in a same area of the map can cause lod issues, props placed in incorrect places and many other compability problems. I fixed the Record A Studios by doing fixes similar to these methods

Cant you just use the custom_maps.rpf that you use to install every other y map?

@trs5405 No, because it does not work with that mod - since these .ymaps are different from what the other mod supports.

@Knob712 Hello! This seems incredible, but unfortunately its not working for me. I made a new Ymap in Codewalker. Just placed some Car Generators next to each other. I exported the created Ymap file and placed it in both SP and MP archives and nothing. The cars never spawn in SP. What am i doing wrong? I have the Legacy version (1.0.2215.0), trying to spawn Addon cars parked around. I do see them appear in Codewalker, i copy the flags from an existing vanilla parked car and yet they dont spawn. Please help me out! I would love to get this to work!

@BowlingMaybe I'm guessing your not using the correct SP Map dlc level, which is patchday2ng, which will work on the SP map.

Thank you for the reply! I will give it a try. But guess what, I made the custom_maps folder and downloaded the rpf from somewhere and it works perfectly. But I will try what you suggested too and update here.
