Better Vehicle First Person brings a whole new way of experiencing the first person view while in a vehicle. It offers an in-game fully adjustable first person view for each vehicle, as well as camera effects that make the most out of this perspective.
All features are fully configurable from the included INI file.
Features
- In-game fully adjustable first person view (position and field of view)
- Preferences saved for each individual vehicle
- Head bobbing and inertia: feel every bump on the road
- Crash effects that vary depending on the force of the crash
- Looking back moves the view clear of the headrest
Requires
Script Hook V (https://www.gta5-mods.com/tools/script-hook-v)
Community Script Hook V .NET (https://www.gta5-mods.com/tools/scripthookv-net)
Installation
Unzip to your MAIN GTA V FOLDER.
Use
Extremely easy; follow the instructions on screen or see the included readme.txt
Configuration
Modify the INI file. Detailed information included in the file.
Additional info
I created presets for many vehicles, but a lot were left out. Vehicles that have no presets assigned will display the default first person view, and prompt you to configure your preferences for the vehicle.
Known issues
- You won't see the driver's hands. You can opt to enable the model in the INI file, but things don't look too good when braking when you do.
- Foliage sometimes clips into the vehicle when you drive over it.

Love the headbobbing: I wish it was a mod on its own! Not a fan of how it takes away your entire body though breaks the immersion for me :(

if the headbobbing was a standalone mod so the hands can be seen etc this would be golden

@Razorwings18 Hey i found a little issue. The camera movement in none adjusted mode using controller is way toooooooo fast. Can you make alternative settings possible for controller users?

@MrGTAmodsgerman have you taken a look at the INI? You can set LOOKSENSITIVITY to a lower value; that will modify how fast the camera responds to control inputs.

@Razorwings18 Did you really read my comment? Level of 2 is too low for using mouse. So i always need to change the ini file for using mouse. Also, Up and down is unsupported for camera moving using controller

Great mod @Razorwings18, it adds a lot of immersion to the game. There are a few problems I found tho:
- I'm not sure if this is due to Natural Vision Remastered, but the motion blur when using your camera is extremely high, like I can't see anything in front of me.
- When you aim your gun and then stop aiming, the camera moves to the previous position very fast, and that makes a very strong camera shake. Maybe you could disable movement for a second after the player stops aiming?
- Crashing into other cars moves the camera so much it tends to go outside the car.
But overall very nice work.vor 4 Tagen -
Thanks @MaxShadow . Regarding the issues you found:
- I'm not touching any camera effects (dof, motion blur) other than the FoV, so at most it's the combination of the way the camera moves and something from another mod.
- It shouldn't move to the previous position; I specifically worked to make sure that when you aim, the mod's camera aligns with the aiming camera. If it moves, it means something in the script is failing. I'll keep an eye out.
- I may have gone overboard with the effect :) I wanted hard crashes to feel really hectic. I'll tone it down and make it configurable in future versions. In the meantime, you can always turn the effect off in the INI.vor 4 Tagen -
Nice work, however i never liked how you don't see your hands in these types of mods

As a suggestion for future updates, if there are any planned: I have observed that when you make the player visible the game uses third person animation which interferes with the camera; the steering wheel is moving out of sync with the hands and when you tap the brakes the player lunges forward clipping through the camera angle. Is there any way to use the first person in-car animations so that the steering wheel only turns 90 degrees and is in-sync with the player's hands and that he doesn't lunge forward at every tap of the brakes? Besides that, great work.

@Vlad94 That is listed among the known issues, and is the reason why the mod defaults to disabling the model. Unfortunately, there seems to be no way to fix or work around it using ScriptHook. There is only one way that I could see, but it takes a ton of effort and some code-fu I haven't used since before Saving Private Ryan was out on VHS. However, as graciously pointed out to me by @MaxShadow , there are a couple of modders who have done what I need to fix it, so when I get a chance I'll see if I can work my puppy eyes and get them to throw me a bone.

I second what Evora said, I'm so glad to find a working mod which lets me set a proper FOV, but am sad you become invisible.
