With this simple script you can make your game look more like GTA IV. The graphics have been grayed to somewhat match the more toned-down and dark atmosphere of GTA IV without amplifying the color palette to an unreasonable degree. If you want the effect to be weaker or stronger, you can always adjust it in the configuration file.

This is not meant to be a perfect 1-on-1 recreation of GTA IV's graphics. Feedback on improving this mod would be appreciated.

a config to adjust tint would be nice but overall great mod
@FaZerMissions I just tested this out and I must say, it does gives you that nostalgic darken look from GTA IV without compromising too much, specially if you have a graphics mod already installed, like I do. I have VisualV installed, which is a light graphic mod and this doesn't seem to interfere with it that much. This is more like a "shading" script basically.
These are my thoughts on this:
PROS:
1. Doesn't seem to interfere or conflict with graphic mods, at least with "VisualV", in my case.
2. It does tones down the color a bit which works well with vegetation. I've always had an issue with vegetation, like certain trees and hedges being overly colorful and bright, almost cartoonish, which I never liked. I tried many things to minimize the bright cartoonish colorfulness, specifically on hedges, into a much more realistic color tone with the current graphic mod I have and was never really able to tone it down to a realistic look but, with this script some previously overly colorful and bright trees/hedges now look more realistic since the color is toned down a bit.
CONS:
1. This is not much of a big deal but, have to mention it anyways .... Once dusk/night begins to set in, certain props, like whatever happen to be on the side of the road or bridges become a bit too dark and I did hit a couple of these props while driving, like crates, trash cans and crap like, tends to become a bit too dark at night with this mod. Almost, as if, the shadows aren't correct or these props blend too much with their surroundings...idk.....anyways...this isn't necessarily a big deal per se. This is supposed to be a mod that simulates GTA 4 graphics anyways.
Looks good dude, I'll give it a nice 4 stars!
@JAM102970 Thanks. I actually haven't noticed much difference in the props even on lower brightness, but the reason for what you described is probably due to the toned down lighting. I didn't want neon lights and such to stand out too much during the night. Regardless, I might add a config file to let the player adjust the level of graphics
this mod may be niche, but it's really nice. I also love how easy it is to install, unlikr most graphic mods.
Hehe Nice Mod , after Fusion Fix - I approve this Color Vibes xd
Now I want Full IV Graphics , like same timecyc , all effects , HUD , Sound , Physics etc lol :)
Works with Legacy & Enhanced very well .
reminiscent of Leec's excellent Screen Edfects script which gave users many shaders on hand, could I request a menu option for the adjustment of the effect strength so you can adjust real-time instead of over an ini
With the ability to set a modifier key to activate the menu, eg ALT+V
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=xNhBgQMBQgU
... in case you never seen said script
@ReNNie Hmm, I thought of that idea before. Even though my script is a bit too simple to require a separate menu, I could add that as well.
@FaZerMissions well LeeC took down all his work long ago, nothing is keeping you from adding the timecycle_modifiers or even external shaders like PRSA does over enbeffect.fx
