I have a similar problem. The game does not crash, but as soon as I try to save a car, it disappears. Also when I load a game, all the previous cars I have saved start to load then disappear. I also have to edit the .ini so blips don't display or screen goes nuts when pressing ESC to view map, etc. This was working prior to the game update, & after a lot of reinstalling mods I got it to work this far :)
Okay. I still got the error msg from the GTA V launcher about no support for windows XP/Vista, but I was able to get the game to load & pull down the console using F4 in Single Player mode.
I did still have to remove the dinput8.dll from my modded game to get it to work though. When I left it in I could get as far as the story mode loading through rage, but the loading circle in the bottom right corner just kept spinning. it looked like the game was still loading but it never did. When I removed dinput8.dll it finished loading & I was able to get in game.
What is also interesting is that with dinput8.dll in the game folder, the game always reverted to build 1737 online 1.48, but when I removed it, it went to build 1868 online 1.50
I don't know if this is helpful or not, but I figured I'd put it out there in case it is useful to anyone.
I think I found out what I did wrong. I did not have rage plugin installed yet, as the site was down & I couldn't download it yet. I am assuming it looks for it first & then I would be able to select that option. I currently have 2 game folders, one non-modded & updated, & one updated & merged with modded files.
Is there a step by step video on how to use this? the version I have does not look like the pictures & I cannot select some options that look like they need selecting.
Although I am getting this message, it does appear to be downloading the game again...
When I used this tool to launch the game it gave me an error message saying "Rockstar PC titles will no longer support Windows XP or Vista operating systems..." which is weird because I'm running Windows 7 & have never had a problem before. I re-downloaded the game in the default settings & path on C drive which was working, but I am trying to get the game to play a modded version, so I placed the modded Rockstar Games folder into a new folder named GTA5Modded before using this tool.
I was able to get this working fine. The only thing I noticed is the exhaust options for the T-Bird seem to be the same as for the Bel Air & do not line up correctly. But, if it wasn't for this mod I wouldn't be able to customize the T-Bird at all, so it's well worth it.
@baba0rum Thanks for posting the file to the model. I was able to create a version that has the spare tire bit on the back end. Looks awesome now :)
Okay, I kind of got it to work. I was trying to see what would happen if I loaded the .z3d model in zmodeler 3 & then exported to the .yft files. It would only let me save it as the peyote.yft file instead of the peyote_hi.yft file. In game extra # 4 worked, but the game always crashes after a minute or two. I believe it has something to do with not being able to export as the peyote_hi.yft file. When I try to export as _hi.yft, I get the following error code in zmodeler:
"Can not locate scene node named "peyote_hi" for export. file:GTARageExport.cpp line:110"
Also, I am not able to open the _hi.yft file in OpenIV.
I also don't know how to create both the .yft & _hi.yft files, I've only seen tutorials that show to export as the _hi.yft file, & it doesn't make sense to me why you would make one & not the other.
Anyone know how to add the spare tire part of the bumper onto this mod? The model above has it as extra # 4, but the mod only includes extra # 2 (antenna). I'm very new to GTA V modding, but a 57 T-Bird is just not the same without the spare tire :)
