Background
Dimitri was born in Russia in 1969 and served in the Soviet Army during the Cold War, and at some point, in time, he befriended Mikhail Faustin. They later spent time in a Siberian prison together, where Mikhail protected Dimitri from being raped by the other inmates. They have matching tattoos on the palms of their hands, which means that they are "brothers" for life. They began their criminal activities in Russia, where they were both "selling hash to tourists in Red Square" and Dimitri was convicted of murder more than once.
In the mid-1990s, he "exploited a loophole in the US immigration treaty" to move to Liberty City, as did Mikhail. Mikhail moved with his wife and young daughter. Dimitri was arrested in 1998 and 2000 for extortion and hijacking, respectively. In following years, Mikhail's addictions to alcohol and cocaine caused his anger and paranoia to spiral out of control. Dimitri abused painkillers but remained calm. While Mikhail had taken to an extreme level of violence, even by organized crime standards, Dimitri favored reasoning with people to maximize profits (although he could still intimidate people, if necessary, as seen in "Do You Have Protection?"), telling Mikhail time and time again that they had to "play by the rules."

Even though he is evil, and you begin to hate him the first time he betrays Niko, I have always found him to be an intriguing character of the GTA series. At least for me anyway, his story with Mikhail Faustin and his background that we begin to learn about through the intro portion of the game. All really sets the setting for how the games overall story plays out. Niko's story got way more chaotic and eventful as a result of Dimitri's betrayal and disloyalty, thus moving the story in a completely different direction from Niko's perspective of killing Faustin and thinking of settling down with Roman in Liberty City. Yes, Niko still wanted revenge on those who betrayed him in the war, however this was made much more difficult thanks to Dimitri's rules of the game.
This model conversion is the first of many story characters as I wish to port more from the world of GTA IV. Whether they be alive or dead characters, I just want to have the possibility of seeing them live in Los Santos for a change!

I hope you all like this addonped, I am really glad that I could actually convert him after all these years! I did not expect him to turn out as good as he did, not to toot my own horn, but my new knowledge in ped editing is getting better and better as I have learned more about how the facial animations work. Plus, the help from people in our discord server who have provided tips and tricks to make model editing work a whole lot better for me and my methods!
Feel free to use the assets from this mod to give clothes to mp characters or story peds if you like! Any model related thing I upload on this site you can use for your own creations! Just be sure to credit me when making your own stuff, because it's difficult to convert models into GTA 5. A lot of trial, error, and times was put into it lol.
Known Issues:
There is an issue with his tie on the left side, where the UV seems to be kind of fucked. I tried to fix it with my new knowledge of the vertex paint tool in 3ds max, however it didn't work at all this time. I tried multiple times to fix it and it still just wouldn't work. Refer to the screenshots above to see the issue. Other than that, the model works pretty well!
As always if anyone has any tips or tricks for fixing these issues, I am always up for learning something new! Just let me know in the comments section on how to better these models for you all!

@Andrew17 Of course, I plan to add all the story characters here in the near future if I can! Right now, I am working on the GTA IV law enforcement overhaul and I plan to add story characters in between my edits :)
thank you so much for this mod i love Dimitri and this mod is amazing lips are moving when talk and eyes blink really well done i have a suggestion there is no mikhayil faustin skin for gta v at all if u make him i know many pepole enjoy
@armanvmp Thank you, and yes, I actually think I might either make a pack with all the main Russian story characters or I could just keep uploading them one by one like I did here with Dimitri. I'm not really sure, but I am currently working on Mr. Bulgarin and next might do Faustin. I like to keep the mods I work on in at least some kind of order lol.

@Dimitri_Rascalov Both, I am actually working on him currently. I already did the facial anims and his main outfit from IV, but I am adding the TBOGT as well and that's all I gotta do. I was actually gonna post screenshots tomorrow from what I had planned. After him I'm gonna do Faustin.

@Zapzzable100 Then again, if you count the Roman's death ending as the main GTA IV ending, then he isn't really head shotted and Niko does not confirm the kill because of Jacob stopping him. So, he could have lived, who knows....

I know I said it would be in like a day. however, a moderator is holding approval of it because of some issue in regard to install instructions, not gonna name who. So therefore, it's been 3 days since I last uploaded it. This will be resolved and trust me; I am not happy about it either.

I am working on Mr. Faustin now and might go ahead and add Timur after. I realize I shoulda just added him in with Bulgarin, but oh well sometimes I forget to add the correct ones in order lol. I appreciate yours and everyone's support! At least Mr. Bulgarin's got a voice added now for him to use as a companion! So, it should be more fun to have him around for combat filled gameplays!
@Dimitri_Rascalov Just so you know, I haven't given up making the IV story characters. I'm still gonna do more soon, but I actually have a connection with someone that I met just today, and he says he has almost all the story characters from IV complete but lacks a few and hasn't released any to the public. They all have facial animations and were made by a very talented mod author on this 5mods page going by the name of Terry Kaffarov! I'm gonna work with his friend and make voice lines for the models Terry's completed along with make the ones he is missing. So, it should be a cool project to work on and this means we may have all the story characters available sooner than we once thought!
