Vulnerable Trains [LUA] 1.1

Update 1.1 - added a delay to vehicle scanning in an attempt to avoid a memory leak.
This script will enable trains to be destroyed like any other vehicle - they don't derail, but it's still pretty satisfying to see them explode.
They can't be destroyed with bullets or melee damage (this can be edited in the script), and though they supposedly take collision damage, they will not be rendered as "destroyed" until hit with something explosive. I might change this sometime if I get the chance.
Installation is the same as with most other LUA scripts, refer to the included readme for more specific instructions.
This has not been extensively tested, so I'd expect some issues. I would probably avoid missions involving trains with this installed. If anything goes wrong, please let me know and I'll see if I can do anything to fix it, but I can't guarantee too much.
As far as mod compatibility goes, it works with most other train mods to some extend, the main thing to avoid is any mod that gives the trains more than two engines. Otherwise train extenders work just fine with a single engine. For a more in-depth explanation, check the readme.
Credit to headscript for the original Train Driver script, which this takes a couple lines from.

@Jansen is the memory leak problem fixed, because it causes FPS to drop
Indeed. Can confirm that the script causes a memory leak. I thought it was my game but after removing the script, the memory leak disappeared.
@Jansen i tried the railroad enginer, and he is lying.
someone modify it plz
@Jansen Hi ! Update description ? Did you fix memory leak problem ? Thx :-)
I'm not sure if it's been entirely fixed or not. I may have been overtaxing the system by constantly checking for vehicles nearby the player, so I put that on a delay. If lua's garbage collector report is to be believed, the memory used does not seem to increase.
Супер идея ! Прощай, поезд
Great mod, although I would like it if you converted it into a .net script.
wow!
Man, no wonder I've been experiencing stuttering recently.. I thought it's because of my 8GB ram giving out. Turns out it's this mod causing the problem, looks like I'm giving the 1.1 a go..
@littlefilms Does is it still work?
@AUSSIE_LAD_96
yep! XD
@littlefilms Awesome thanks for the quick reply
@littlefilms Dam. I am unable to get it to work. It does go into the scripts folder yea?
@AUSSIE_LAD_96
yeah but this is a LUA mod so you need to download this mod first
https://www.gta5-mods.com/tools/lua-plugin-for-script-hook-v
put the LUA.asi into your main gta folder where your other asi mods go and put everything else into your scripts folder. All you LUA mods now go into the "addins" folder.
@littlefilms Ok I should have it working then. Might be a graphics mod or improved trains causing a problem idk
Please make a mod of rdr2 train in gta 5 its oo good and we want it if possible.
you can do it with menyo 10.000 downloads for nothing! bruhh
unfortunately nothing happens
Can someone create this same exact mod but that it won't require the "LUA" plugin? The reason I'm asking is because I want to get rid of the "LUA" plugin off my game's directory and associated 'scripts' files but, that's not because I don't like LUA.....it's just 'cause first of all, I want to minimize the amount of mods I got installed in my game, second, there's only one single mod I got installed that requires this plugin and third, the "LUA" plugin is old and should be retired by now. If there's someone out there that either already has or thinking about creating this same exact mod without the need to install the LUA plugin please let me know! Thanks!
