Description
This script allows you to toggle the reticle/crosshair on your screen by pressing a key. You'd probably ask why anyone would want to play this game without a crosshair. Well if you're a fan of realistic gameplay like me and want to start using those iron sights more often, then this mod is for you! I am aware that there are two mods available which already take care of this, however both mods require editing of the game files and one even removes the sniper scope view completely! All you need for this mod however is ScriptHookV and Community Script Hook V.
Notice
When the reticle is disabled, the hitmarker also gets disabled. I haven't found a way to disable only the reticle just yet, nor do I know if it's even possible via scripting. But if you care more about the realistic aspects of this then this shouldn't really be a problem to you.
Instructions
Extract the contents of the .zip file into your scripts folder. Press O to toggle your reticle on/off. You can change this key by editing NoReticle.ini—this file contains two settings named "DisableOnStart" and "ToggleKey". Both are self explanatory.

What handgun is that your using?
there is one gun which is not effected...it is musket gun !!!!!!
@ILikeToPlayGTA:
Good script, but Musket rifle and Marksman Rifle Mk.II still has reticle and game got lag when script enables, happens only once when you first time disables reticle.
Perfect I love it))
Great mod, makes for a more hardcore experience, though I mostly use this now : https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/forced-first-person-aim
My own mod : https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/classic-combat
Works perfectly. Have used this for years. Please do not use the highly blatant advertising for the mod above by GTAutomatic as it's nothing like this mod and changes far to many things, including removing base weapons.
perfect!! someone can share the list of virtuall keys for change "O" for other one?
does anyone know where i can find the scripts folder? thanks
Cant really post a rating of the mod since it doesn't work. Probably due to the new update that released. Hopefully it gets fixed.
what pistol is that?
Perfect.
Need help with this mod I placed the contents into my main game directory. (Steamapps, Common, Gta5) and it isn't working tried editing the config still nothing. Wondering if I put it in the wrong place or if it just needs to be updated?
Also I don't have a "scripts" folder and not sure if I would just add new folder and name it scripts or if there should already be one there?
@Toastierty Make a new folder and name it scripts
doesnt work anymore
@animebigballs1337 yep, just tested it, and as soon as I press "O", the games crashes...
@godeszinn exactly
does anyone know how to fix game crashing when pressing O
anybody knows a good alternative mod similiar to this one since it stopped working?
nevermind! found a way to fix it. download SHVDN by NIGHTLY
